Sa salvezi lumea nu e chiar asa de usor cum s-ar crede: ca sa ajunga la Regele Orc, Baiatul-Corb si Fata-Spiridus trebuie sa traverseze mai intai infricosatorii Munti ai Monstrilor. Oare de ce anume ar trebui sa se fereasca mai tare? De trolii care sunt pe urmele lor si care ard de nerabdare sa-i faca tocanita? De stancile in forma de monstri inspaimantatori, care par gata sa se repeada la ei? Sau poate de batranelul distrat care se grabeste sa ii gazduiasca in castelul sau?...
